DUNCAN PATERSON
CAER - Corporate Analysis. Enhanced Responsibility, Australia
Duncan is Chief Executive Officer and founder of CAER - Corporate Analysis. Enhanced Responsibility, the staff- and not-for-profit owned ESG research organisation based in Canberra, Australia. He has worked extensively in the field of responsible investment, both in Australia and in the UK with EIRIS - Experts in Responsible Investment Solutions. Duncan enjoys working with a broad range of investors to incorporate environmental, social and governance criteria into their investment processes. In addition to his work with CAER, Duncan is the Chair of the industry body for responsible investment in Australia, the Responsible Investment Association Australasia (RIAA), a Director of the Hong Kong-based Association for Sustainable and Responsible Investment in Asia (ASrIA), and is a member of FINSIA’s Managed Funds & Super Advisory Group.

Konrad Knerr
Konrad is Chief Operations Officer of CAER. He has an Honours degree in European Studies from the
Australian National University in Canberra. He previously worked for
the ASX listed funds manager, Australian Ethical Investment Limited,
before helping to establish the not-for-profit Centre for Australian
Ethical Research Pty Ltd in 2002. He is a member of the Australian
Ethical sustainability committee and a finance committee member of a
local community association. Work for the not-for-profit CAER allows
him to practice 'right livelihood'. He lives in Canberra with his wife
Katrin and two children Jana and Martyn.

Philip Sloane BAppSci (Hons) F Fin
Philip completed a Bachelor of Applied Science (Honours) at the
University of Canberra in 1997, specialising in resource and
environmental science. Between 1997 and 2001 he worked as a research
officer at the Cooperative Research Centre for Freshwater Ecology in
Canberra monitoring the biological health of rivers and streams
throughout south-eastern Australia. In 2001 he began a Graduate Diploma
in Applied Finance and Investment through the Securities Institute,
which he completed in 2002. Philip joined the CAER as a research analyst in September 2001 and
became Head of Research in 2003. He is responsible for researching
corporate environmental and social performance.

Keith Price
Keith Price is a researcher and programmer with backgrounds in philosophy,
computer science/software engineering and administration. He is keenly
interested in developing integral theory and practice in all areas of
human endeavour. He has one son and lives in Canberra.

Julia Leske
Julia is Senior ESG Analyst at CAER, an independent, not-for-profit ESG research organisation based in Canberra, Australia. She started work with CAER in 2007 focusing on collating and analysing ESG information for companies in the resource sector. Thematically Julia focuses on human rights and anti-bribery and corruption areas. She has analysed anti-bribery and corruption responses of Australian listed companies in a project commissioned by the Australian Council of Superannuation Investors and collaborated with NetBalance and ACCA for the publication of the report ‘Disclosures on managing human rights risks’. In addition Julia is representing CAER in the Publish What You Pay Australia coalition, and has been on the judging panel for the ARA Australasian Sustainability Reporting Awards. Julia has a Master in Environmental Management and Development from the Australian National University, and a combined Bachelor of Arts in Public Administration/ European Studies and Sustainable Development from the Universities of Muenster (Germany) and Twente (Netherlands).

Chris Gyngell
Chris completed his Master of Arts - Professional and Applied Ethics in June 2010, and earned his combined
Bachelor of Arts/Science degree at the Australian National University in 2006,
and finished an honours program at the John Curtin School of Medical Research, specialising in Human Genetics.
He joined CAER as a research analyst in August 2008, following a position at the Department of Infrastructure.

Vaishnavi Ravishankar
Vaishnavi completed a Bachelor of Commerce from the Australian National University in July 2010.
During the course of her degree, she had the opportunity to work with the Australian Chamber of Commerce and Industry
as a research assistant. She is interested in finance-related research that can drive social change.
She joined the organisation in September 2010 as a responsible investment analyst.
