CAER - Corporate Analysis. Enhanced Responsibility was established in
January 2000, and offers research services on a broad range of
environmental and social criteria. CAER’s database covers the top 300
companies in Australia by market capitalisation, companies that move in
and out of the ASX on a regular basis (smaller members of the ASX300),
smaller listed companies invested in by research clients and selected
New Zealand and Pacific companies. CAER operates as an independent, not-for-profit research organisation.
CAER is the only Australian research facility offering access to consistent Responsible Investment information on all the world’s major investment markets. CAER utilises world-leading socially responsible investment technology and has an exclusive license to distribute the EIRIS Portfolio Manager (EPM) ESG research platform produced by EIRIS in the United Kingdom. DUNCAN PATERSON
CAER - Corporate Analysis. Enhanced Responsibility, Australia
Duncan is Chief Executive Officer and founder of CAER - Corporate Analysis. Enhanced Responsibility, the not-for-profit ESG research organisation based in Canberra, Australia. He has worked extensively in the field of responsible investment, both in Australia and in the UK with EIRIS - Experts in Responsible Investment Solutions. Duncan enjoys working with a broad range of investors to incorporate environmental, social and governance criteria into their investment processes. In addition to his work with CAER, Duncan is the President of the industry body for responsible investment in Australia, the Responsible Investment Association Australasia (RIAA), a Director of the Hong Kong-based Association for Sustainable and Responsible Investment in Asia (ASrIA), and is a member of FINSIA’s Managed Funds & Super Advisory Group.

Konrad Knerr
Konrad is Chief Operations Officer of CAER. He has an Honours degree in European Studies from the
Australian National University in Canberra. He previously worked for
the ASX listed funds manager, Australian Ethical Investment Limited,
before helping to establish the not-for-profit Centre for Australian
Ethical Research Pty Ltd in 2002. He is a member of the Australian
Ethical sustainability committee and a finance committee member of a
local community association. Work for the not-for-profit CAER allows
him to practice 'right livelihood'. He lives in Canberra with his wife
Katrin and two children Jana and Martyn.

Philip Sloane BAppSci (Hons) F Fin
Philip completed a Bachelor of Applied Science (Honours) at the
University of Canberra in 1997, specialising in resource and
environmental science. Between 1997 and 2001 he worked as a research
officer at the Cooperative Research Centre for Freshwater Ecology in
Canberra monitoring the biological health of rivers and streams
throughout south-eastern Australia. In 2001 he began a Graduate Diploma
in Applied Finance and Investment through the Securities Institute,
which he completed in 2002. Philip joined the CAER as a research analyst in September 2001 and
became Head of Research in 2003. He is responsible for researching
corporate environmental and social performance.
Keith Price
Keith
Price is a researcher and programmer with backgrounds in philosophy,
computer science/software engineering and administration. He is keenly
interested in developing integral theory and practice in all areas of
human endeavour. He has one son and lives in Canberra.

Glenn Fairbairn BSc(Psychology)
Glenn graduated with a Bachelor of Science (Psychology) in June, 2007 from the Australian National University in Canberra.
He joined CAER as a research analyst in July 2007, and is keenly interested in responsible investment research and applied research methodologies.

Julia Leske
Julia completed her Bachelor of Arts/ Bachelor of Science in Public Administration/ European Studies at the Universities of Muenster (Germany) and Twente (Netherlands) in 2007.
As part of her degree she worked in Mexico in an environmental and resource management project with the German Technical Assistance (GTZ). She joined the CAER in 2007 as a responsible investment analyst. Working with CAER gives her the opportunity to practise what she has learned in theory.

Chris Gyngell
Chris completed a combined Bachelor of Arts/Science degree at the Australian National University in 2006. He went on to do an honours program at the John Curtin School of Medical Research, specialising in Human Genetics. He joined CAER as a research analyst in August 2008, following a position at the Department of Infrastructure. Chris is currently completing a Masters program at the Centre for Applied Philosophy and Public Ethics.
